FUTURE COMBAT SYSTEMS

The United States Army is currently debating the use of tracked or wheeled vehicles as the primary backbone of its armored divisions.  Pictured here is a portion of a Ministry of Art Officer's rendition of the Future Combat System.  As actual canvas has become scarce the Officer was forced to use vintage 60mm Mortar Ammunition boxes as a painting surface.

The Future Combat system is the Army's name for it's top secret tank currently in R&D and scheduled for production in 2015.  Part of the R&D involves robotic technology (allowing for unmanned or undermanned vehicles.)
