Robotic butterflies and moths also inhabit the garden, and they are attracted (by programming) to the same red/blue plants that 'real' butterflies used to be attracted to. The robots place plants (like the spikey red bulbed plant below) around the garden, and the insects follow the path around the garden as they are programmed to do. Some bugs are programmed to stop at all the bulbs. Others only stop at a certain color. (i.e. just the blue bulbs or green ones. But not the red ones, etc.) Makes for an interesting pattern of insect movements through the garden.
