Mushrooms in the Garden (Cicadas)
Every good metal garden has to have a batch of mechanical mushrooms. Easy to build and fabricate in metal, the robots have planted tons of these metal fungi in the garden. The metal cicada (the bugs pictured below) are programmed to sit dormant in their 'nesting boxes' for 17 years at a time. Then as programmed the emerge for 24 hours, follow their mating ritual process, and then go back into the box for another 17 years. If you're lucky enough to get to see this rare procedure, you're a fortunate bot.
